Vedam School of Technology First-Year Student Earns Global Recognition Through Bug Bounty Programme

Jodhpur, Rajasthan | June 2026: Demonstrating the growing impact of industry-aligned cybersecurity education, Vedam School of Technology announced that one of its first-year students has earned bug bounty rewards after responsibly identifying and reporting security vulnerabilities through the globally recognized HackerOne platform.

According to the institute, student Muhammad Sharief successfully disclosed multiple security vulnerabilities under HackerOne’s responsible disclosure programme, receiving bug bounty rewards totaling US$5,000 (approximately ₹4.5 lakh, subject to prevailing exchange rates). The achievement reflects the practical application of cybersecurity skills acquired during the student’s academic journey.

Bug bounty programmes enable ethical hackers and security researchers to identify and responsibly report software vulnerabilities, helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity while rewarding contributors for validated findings.

The institute stated that this accomplishment highlights its emphasis on experiential learning, hands-on cybersecurity training, and industry-relevant skill development from the early stages of higher education. Vedam School of Technology aims to prepare students for careers in emerging technology domains by providing exposure to real-world security challenges and globally recognized platforms.

Commenting on the achievement, the institute said it remains committed to nurturing ethical hacking talent and fostering innovation in cybersecurity through practical learning opportunities and continuous industry engagement.
